Description
Description
Arte Útil translates roughly as »useful art« and understands art as a social and societal tool. Artistic thinking can be used in the development of different methods and tactics, influencing and changing our actions and thus society. The archive collects projects in which new social methods are developed and tested. It becomes visible that these are not individual cases, but rather a multitude of different projects - partly by self-organised groups, partly by individuals. The criteria formulated for the respective projects include: new uses for art in society, critical, artistic thinking, reactions to current situations, sustainability, aesthetics as a transformation system, scale 1:1, initiators instead of authors and users instead of spectators.
Goals
Goals
Promoting social engagement, improving society, improving existing structures through art and artistic thinking. Art as a tool and outlet for social change, sustainability and the promotion of creative, critical thinking. The archive sees itself as a platform and tool for all users, projects and information. It serves the research and exchange of all.
