Workshop
Maike Fraas, Martin Kaltwasser and Maik Ronz realised the participatory construction art project Kraftwerk Lohberg in Dinslaken in 2015 and collaborated on Kaleidoskop Südpark in Halle-Neustadt in 2019. For the Capital of Culture Plovdiv 2019, they developed the project Learning from Stolipinovo for the largest district inhabited by Roma in the Balkans.
Maike Fraas *1976, studied design at Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle. Her work focuses on participation formats and participation tools for the design of social spaces. Since 2020, she has been teaching as a professor at the Saar University of Fine Arts, in the subject area of product design and urban art / urban design.
Martin Kaltwasser *1965, studied Fine Arts, AdBK Nuremberg and Architecture, TU Berlin. His worldwide artistic work practice in public space combines critical research on site with process-oriented, site-specific, spatial, often participatory and collaborative realisations. Since 2019, he has been Professor of Sculpture at the Institute of Art and Material Culture at TU Dortmund University.
Maik Ronz *1978, studied architecture and urban planning in Germany, Austria and Denmark. As part of his artistic practice, he realises projects in public space with the involvement of local communities and works as an architectural mediator. He teaches at universities in Germany and Norway.
